Removing and installing the generator (Focus 2)

You will need: keys "8", "12" and TORX E10.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir mounting bolt and move the reservoir to the side.

5. Unscrew nut 3 (Fig. 10.3) securing the generator.

6. Unscrew the upper bolt 1 of the generator mount and remove the protective shield 4.

7. Remove the accessory drive belt (see "Replacing the accessory drive belt").



8. Unscrew the lower generator mounting bolt 5, stud 2 and remove the generator from the engine compartment.

9. Install the generator in the reverse order of removal, replacing the accessory drive belt with a new one (see "Replacing the accessory drive belt").
