Checking the generator operation

The voltage generated by the generator is checked, as well as the regulated voltage at the generator terminals. The check should begin with checking the voltage at the terminals (regulated).

When checking the generator operation, a fully charged battery must be connected to the vehicle's electrical system.

In order to avoid errors during verification, it is necessary to strictly follow the following rules.

The battery, alternator and regulator ground wires must be connected correctly.

Under no circumstances should the generator be connected to an untested circuit.

Changing the polarity of the generator terminals is not allowed.
