When the vehicle is moving, the battery charge indicator lamp should not light. Otherwise, the alternator or voltage regulator is faulty. First, check all the alternator connecting wires. Then check the belt tension on the belt pulley and the operation of the automatic tensioner. The remaining checks are performed with the alternator removed.
