The rechargeable battery (Mondeo 2)

            0

Mondeo cars are equipped with 12 V nominal voltage batteries with six batteries. The battery is designed to supply electricity to the starter when starting the engine and other consumers when the generator is not working.

Warning: When disconnecting the cable from the battery, the information in the electronic memory devices is erased. Be sure to remember the code for turning on the radio receiver equipped with an anti-theft system, which will have to be entered again.

During operation, the battery does not require maintenance, i.e. under normal operating conditions, there is no need to add additional distilled water. However, in some cases the liquid level in it decreases.

When using the battery, follow these recommendations:

- keep the battery and nearby parts constantly clean, the battery surface must be dry, otherwise self-discharge currents may appear between individual battery elements and self-discharge of the battery is possible;

- the electrolyte level in the battery should always be at the lower mark, which is applied to the outside of the battery case (if the case is transparent), if necessary, use only distilled water to top up;

- in cold weather, the battery should not be in a discharged state, otherwise it may freeze.
