Generator — removal and installation (Taurus 1 and 2)

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the generator (if the car is equipped with an IAR type generator) and the voltage regulator (see figure).





3. Loosen the generator adjustment and pivot bolts, disconnect the drive belt (see chapter 1).

4. Remove the adjusting and pivot bolts, separate the generator from the engine.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

6. After installing the generator, check the tension of the drive belts (see chapter 1).
