2. Raise the car and place it on stands.
3. Disconnect the large cable from the starter motor terminal (see figure).

4. Unscrew the two bolts securing the rear support bracket (see Figure 19.3) and remove the bracket.
5. Unscrew the two bolts securing the starter to the transmission housing on four-cylinder engines. On V6 engines, there are two of these bolts. Remember that the ground wire is connected to the top bolt - the starter stud (see the figure).

6. Remove the starter. On cars with an automatic transmission, it is pulled out between the radiator and the frame. With a manual transmission, it is pulled out between the frame and the engine.
7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
