Removal
1. Remove the clutch disc and pressure plate. For additional information, refer to Section 303-01A / 303-01B / 303-01C / 303-01D / 303-01E.
2. Using a special tool, lock the flywheel in a stationary position.

3. Remove the flywheel. Discard the bolts as they are no longer needed.

4. Remove the crankshaft rear seal holder. Discard the holder as it is no longer needed.

Installation
All cars
1.
NOTE: The new crankshaft rear seal retainer is equipped with a locating sleeve that must be removed during installation.
NOTE: Do not fully tighten the crankshaft rear seal retainer bolts at this stage.
Install the crankshaft rear seal retainer.
2. Tighten the crankshaft rear seal retainer bolts.

3. Remove the crankshaft rear seal retainer mounting sleeve.

4.
NOTE: Install new flywheel bolts.
NOTE: Do not fully tighten the flywheel bolts at this stage.
Install the flywheel.

5. Using a special tool, lock the flywheel in a stationary position.

Vehicles without common rail fuel injection
6. Using special tools, install the flywheel.
- Tighten the bolts in three stages.
- Stage 1: 18 Nm
- Stage 2: 45 degrees
- Stage 3: 45 degrees

7. Remove the special tool.
Vehicles with common rail fuel injection system
8. Using special tools, install the dual flywheel.
- Tighten the bolts, working in two stages.
- Stage 1: 35 Nm
- Stage 2: 45 degrees

9. Remove the special tools.
10. Inspect the dual mass flywheel. Refer to Section 303-00 for additional information.
All cars
11. Install the clutch slave plate and pressure plate. For additional information, refer to Section 303-01A / 303-01B / 303-01C / 303-01D / 303-01E.
