Heater housing — disassembly and assembly

Disassembly

1. Release the ventilation hose at floor level. Disconnect the hose.



2. Disconnect the sections of the heater/heat exchanger housing.

• Turn out two bolts.
• Release the seven latches.

3. Remove the heat exchanger.



4. Remove the heat exchanger.



5. Disconnect the heater/blower housing sections.

• 1. Turn out two bolts.
• 2. Release the four latches.

6. Disconnect the blower/recirculation fan housing sections.

• Release the nine latches.

7. Disassemble the air recirculation housing. Release the five latches.



8. Remove the air baffle.



9. Disconnect the heater/evaporator housing. Release eleven latches.

Assembly

1.

NOTE: Check during assembly that the guide pins are correctly positioned.

NOTE: If the housing was not properly sealed during assembly or the latches were broken, use steel clips as a replacement.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
