Adjusting the windshield wiper blades and arms

Windscreen wiper arm alignment tool 501-027 (32-006)

Adjustment

1.

WARNING: Make sure that the wiper motor is in the non-working position.

Remove the wiper blade.

2. Insert the wiper arm into the special tool and install the special tool on the windshield.

NOTE: All three legs of the special tool must be in contact with the glass.

Using a special tool, measure the angle between the wiper arm and the windshield.

NOTE: When adjusting the angle, lift the special tool off the glass to prevent possible damage.

Using the special tool, check and adjust the wiper arm. For more information, refer to the Specifications chapter in this section.

• Using an open-end wrench mounted on the special tool, adjust the angle.

5. Remove the special tool.

6. Install the wiper blade.
