Withdrawal


All cars

1. Remove the filler neck of the windshield washer reservoir.



2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

3. Remove the right fender mudguard (wheel shown removed for clarity).



4. Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
  • Disconnect electrical connectors.
  • Pull out the hoses.



5. Remove the windshield washer pump with rubber gasket (shown with tank installed).


  • 1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • 2. Disconnect the hoses.
  • 3. Pull out the pump.



Vehicles with a headlight washer system

6. Remove the headlight washer pump and rubber seal.
  • 1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • 2. Disconnect the hoses.
  • 3. Pull out the pump.



Installation


1.
NOTE: Procedure to follow if a washer system malfunction occurs where water leaks from a full washer reservoir during heavy braking or acceleration.


Install an additional cap over the rear tank vent pipe.
  • 1. Front ventilation duct
  • 2. Rear ventilation duct
  • 3. Extra cap



2.
NOTE: When installing the reservoir, it is required to insert the filler neck using Vaseline.


Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
