Removal


All cars

1. Remove the windshield washer reservoir filler neck.

1. Remove the windshield washer reservoir filler neck.


2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

3. Remove the right fender splash guard (wheel shown removed for clarity).

4. Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  • Pull back the hoses.

Pull back the hoses.


5. Remove the windshield washer pump with rubber gasket (shown with reservoir installed).


  • 1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • 2. Disconnect the hoses.
  • 3. Remove the pump.

3. Remove the pump.


Cars with headlight washer system

6. Remove the headlight washer pump and rubber seal.
  • 1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • 2. Disconnect the hoses.
  • 3. Remove the pump.

3. Remove the pump.


Installation

NOTE: Procedure to be used if the washer system develops a fault where water leaks from the filled washer reservoir during sudden braking or acceleration.


Install the additional cap over the rear tank vent line.

NOTE: When installing the tank, it is necessary to insert the filler neck using Vaseline.




Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
