Washer reservoir, pump and fluid level sensor

The front and rear window washer is supplied with liquid from a common supply tank located in front of the right front wheel. Depending on the direction of rotation of the pump, the washer fluid is directed either to the windshield or the rear window.

Withdrawal



Unscrew nine bolts (Gas engine) or ten bolts (diesel) front cover.

Unscrew the cover in the right wheel arch by unscrewing the two bolts.

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices is erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.




Unscrew the three bolts securing the windshield washer reservoir and pull forward slightly.

Note! For greater clarity, there is no image of the shock absorber in the figure.




Disconnect the multi-contact connector -1- of the windscreen washer pump, after depressing the spring clip.


Disconnect the multi-pin connector -2- from the liquid level sensor by pressing on the spring clip.

Disconnect the hoses -3- from the pump.

Attention! On vehicles with headlight washer, additionally disconnect the multi-pin connector and hose from the headlight washer pump.


Remove the washer reservoir.

Remove the pump and fluid level sensor from the tank. Remove the sealing rubber.

Installation



Insert the washer pump rubber seal and fluid level sensor into the reservoir. Pre-check the rubber for porosity and damage, replace if necessary.

Insert the pump and liquid level sensor inside.

Install the washer reservoir.

Put on the hoses and the multi-pin connector.

Move the windshield washer reservoir into the installation position and screw it on.

Screw the cover into the wheel well with two bolts.

Screw the front cover with nine bolts (carburetor) or ten bolts (diesel).

Connect wire "masses" batteries.

Set the clock to the current time.

Set the radio's anti-theft code.
