Removing and installing the windshield wiper mechanism (Mondeo 1)

Removal

Remove the windshield wiper arms, see item 23.5.

Remove the ventilation grille, see paragraph 17.5.



Press the mechanism with a fork wrench at three rotation centers.

Installation

Lubricate the wiper mechanism support "A" shells and the new rubber bellows "B" with grease (FORD-SAM-1C-9111-A).

Place the rubber bellows over the edge of the support shell.

Place the support shells on the rotation centers "C".



Place a socket wrench on the edge of the mount shell and clamp the mount shell using water pump pliers.



Install the ventilation grille, see paragraph 17.5.

Install the windshield wiper arms, see item 23.5.
