Replacing wiper rubber

In case of poor cleaning of the windshield, the wiper rubber should be changed. Available as a set of wiper blades (rubber with holder), and a separate rubber. When replacing rubber, make sure that the holder is not bent.



The rubber is inserted into two metal mounting rails -1-, which can be removed separately.

Withdrawal



Attention! Remove the key from the ignition when working on the wiper device, otherwise the movement of the wiper arms or the wiper drive when the key is in position "1" in the ignition switch it is possible to activate the automatic parking position. Danger of injury!


Tilt the wiper blades up and out of the lock.



Install the brushes vertically with respect to the wiper arm.


Press the spring clip -A- down and slide the wiper blade down from the hook on the lever.

Slide the wiper blade up and remove through the hole -B- from the hook of the wiper arm.



Squeeze both tires together on the closed side of the rubber (if necessary, use tongs), remove from the side of the upper clip and pull the rubber together with the tires from the remaining clips of the wiper blades.

Installation



Loosely insert the new rubber without retaining bars into the wiper blade clip.



Insert both tires into the rubber so that the recesses of the tires are directed towards the rubber and are fixed in the protrusions of the rubber.

Squeeze together both steel tires and rubber (tongs) and insert into other clips so that the protrusions of the clips are fixed in the retaining grooves of the rubber.

Slide the blades through the wiper arm and secure the spring clips into the hooks on the wiper arm.

Pull out the wiper arm. Make sure the rubber sticks to the glass everywhere.
