Removal
Wet the windshield with water.
Operate the windshield wiper mechanism for approximately two minutes and then turn off the windshield wiper switches. This will cause the windshield wipers to return to their final position.
When stopped, mark the position of the wiper blades on the windshield with adhesive tape. To do this, stick a strip of tape on the windshield directly next to the blades. When installing, reinstall the wiper arm on the toothed engagement of the double support so that the blade is directly next to the strips of adhesive tape.
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove the windshield wiper arms. To do this, fold the plastic cap "6" upwards.
Loosen the mounting nut "D" approximately two turns.
Press the windshield wiper arm away from the glass (position "A") and fold it upwards (position "B"). Remove the windshield wiper arm from the side of the "arrow" from the cone of the double support. Release the windshield wiper arm that is difficult to remove using the Hazet ejector 1966-5.
Return the windshield wiper arm to its original position. Unscrew the nut and remove the windshield wiper arm.

Remove the ventilation grille. To do this, press the caps "5" with a narrow screwdriver and unscrew the six bolts, then see item 17.5.

Unscrew the four mounting bolts and remove the mechanism with the engine.
Disconnect the multi-pin connector from the wiper motor.

Mark the position of the cross handle "4" relative to the mounting plate. To do this, draw a line along the handle on the mounting plate with a felt-tip pen.
Unscrew nut "5" from the drive shaft and remove handle "4" from the cone.
Remove the three bolts "6" securing the windshield wiper motor and remove the motor from the mounting plate.
Installation
Important! Before installation, check whether the windshield wiper motor is in the end position. To do this, briefly put on the multi-pin connector and connect the battery ground wire. Briefly start the motor using the windshield wiper switch so that the motor is in the end position.
Screw the wiper motor to the mounting plate. The tightening torque for the new motor is 12 Nm and 8 Nm if the old motor is being re-installed or the motor has been screwed on previously.
Install the cross handle according to the marking applied during removal and, holding it, tighten it to a torque of 25 Nm.
Connect the multi-pin connector.
Install the motor with the windscreen wiper mechanism and tighten the four bolts to 8 Nm.
Caution: First install the bolt shown in Fig. F-6013 on the upper right.
Install the ventilation grille, see paragraph 17.5.
Install the windshield wiper arm. To do this, place it on the end of the double support so that the wiper blades are on the windshield next to the markings. Lightly tighten the nuts, but do not tighten them completely.
Connect the battery ground wire.
Set the windshield wipers to the first rotation stage towards the grille or decorative strip. If necessary, rearrange the windshield wiper arms.
Tighten the wiper arm nuts to 25 Nm.
Set the clock to the current time. Enter the radio anti-theft code.
