Withdrawal

Moisten the windshield with water.

Operate the wiper mechanism for about two minutes and then turn off the wiper switches. As a result, the wipers will come to their final position.

When stopped, mark the position of the wiper blades on the windshield with adhesive tape. To do this, stick a strip of tape on the windshield directly next to the brushes. When reassembling, place the wiper arm back on the gearing of the double support so that the wiper blade is directly next to the strips of adhesive tape.

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove the wiper arms. To do this, fold the plastic cap -6- up.

Loosen the fastening nut -D- approximately two turns.

Depress the wiper arm from the glass (position -A-) and flip up (position -B-). Remove the side wiper arm -arrows- from the double support cone. Loosen the hard-to-remove wiper arm using Hazet extractor 1966-5.

Return the wiper arm to its original position. Unscrew the nut and remove the wiper arm.

Remove the ventilation grill. For this purpose, wring out the caps -5- with a narrow screwdriver and unscrew the six bolts, then see paragraph 17.5.

Unscrew the four mounting bolts and remove the mechanism with the engine.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector from the wiper motor.

Mark the position of the cross handle -4- in relation to the mounting plate. To do this, use a felt-tip pen to draw a stroke along the handle on the circuit board.

Unscrew the nut -5- from the drive shaft and remove the handle -4- from the cone.

Unscrew the three mounting bolts -6- of the wiper motor and remove the motor from the mounting plate.

Installation

Attention! Before installing, check that the wiper motor is in its end position. To do this, briefly put on the multi-pin connector and connect the wire "masses" batteries. Briefly start the engine with the wiper switch until the engine reaches its end position.

Screw the wiper motor to the circuit board. The tightening torque for a new motor is 12 Nm and 8 Nm if the old motor is remounted or the motor has already been screwed on before.

Install the cross handle according to the markings made during removal and, holding, tighten with a torque of 25 Nm.

Plug in the multi-pin connector.

Install the wiper motor and tighten the four bolts to 8 Nm.

Attention! First install the bolt shown in fig. F-6013.

Install the ventilation grille see 17.5.

Install the wiper arm. Why put on the end of the double support so that the wiper blades are on the windshield next to the markings. Tighten the nuts lightly, but do not fully tighten.

Connect the wire "masses" batteries.

Install on the first rotation stage of the wipers to the grille or trim strip. If necessary, rearrange the wiper arms.

Tighten the wiper arm nuts to 25 Nm.

Set the clock to the current time. Enter the radio's anti-theft code.
