Windshield wiper motor — removal and installation (Focus 1)

Removal

NOTE: Make sure the windshield wiper motor is in the off position.

Remove the hood panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-02.

2. Remove the hood panel support bracket.



3. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.



4. Remove the windshield wiper motor and linkage.

• Remove the windshield wiper motor cover.

5. Mark the position of the windshield wiper linkage relative to the wiper motor bracket for ease of installation.





6. Unscrew the windshield wiper lever mechanism mounting nut.



7. Remove the windshield wiper motor.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
