Inspection and verification
1. Check the validity of the customer's complaint.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

3. If an obvious cause for the complaint noted or received is found, correct that cause (if possible) before moving on to the next step.
4. If the cause of the complaint is not obvious, clarify the symptom of the malfunction and refer to the Symptoms Table.
