Rear door window glass — removal and installation

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Remove the door trim panel. See Section 501-05 for more information.

2. Remove the side impact protection reinforcement.



3. Disconnect the door speaker (in the presence of).



4. Disconnect the speaker connector and remove the door speaker.



5. Disconnect the door latch release lever.

CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the adhesive as this will prevent re-adhesion.

Disconnect the seal.

• With a plastic knife (disposable) cut the butyl strip to allow the seal to be pulled back.

7. Remove the retainer of the upper door glass guide.

8. Install the window regulator knob.

Vehicles equipped with power windows

9. Dock the door window control switch electrical connector.



All cars

10. Align the regulator clip with the hole (power window shown).



11. Disconnect the window glass from the regulator.

• 1. Push out the pin.
• 2. Push out the sleeve.
• 3. Remove the glass from the regulator clamp.

12. Once the glass is supported, lower the glass and adjuster to the lowest position.


13. Position the bottom of the upper door glass guide outside the door.

NOTE: To facilitate removal of the door glass, stand on the inside of the door. Make sure the glass is removed from inside the door.

Remove window glass.

Installation

All cars

1. Insert the window glass into the door.



2. Fix the window glass in the regulator clamp.

• 1. Push the sleeve inward.
• 2. Push the pin in.
• 3. Push the door glass firmly down to secure the pin in the adjuster clip.

3. Position the bottom of the top door glass guide on the inside of the door.



4. Close the window.

5. Establish a clamp of the top directing glass of a door.



6. Attach the seal.



7. Attach the door latch release lever.



8. Connect the door speaker electrical connector.



9. Install the door speaker.



10. Install the side impact reinforcement.

11. Remove the window regulator handle.

Vehicles equipped with power windows

12. Disconnect the door window switch electrical connector.

13. Install the door trim panel. See Section 501-05 for more information.
