Withdrawal

1. Remove the tailgate latch. For more information, refer to the Tailgate Latch section of this section.

2. Cut off the tailgate lock cylinder body to expose the spring and plunger.



3. Remove the spring and plunger. Discard the spring.



4. Remove the tailgate lock cylinder.

Installation

1. Using an M6 tap, cut the threads in the lock cylinder body.



2. Install the tailgate lock cylinder.



3. Install plunger.

NOTE: Apply Loctite to the top two head threads of the screw.

To secure the plunger, screw in the M6x6.5 mm screw.



5. Install the tailgate latch.



6. Install the tailgate latch electrical connector.



7. Install the rear tailgate trim panel.
