Luggage compartment lift door lock cylinder (station wagon) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the rear tailgate trim panel.



2. Remove the exterior trim molding and license plate lamps.

• Remove the screws.
• Disconnect the electrical connectors of the license plate lamp.

3. Disconnect the rear liftgate latch cable from the rear liftgate lock assembly.



4. Remove the rear tailgate lock assembly.





5. Remove the rear luggage compartment lid lock cylinder retaining ring.

• Bend the tabs inward.

6. Remove the rear tailgate lock cylinder spring.



7. Remove the rear tailgate lock cylinder.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
