Inspection and verification
NOTE: Before beginning electrical system diagnostics, make sure the battery is fully charged.
NOTE: Before performing the CMS self-test, make sure the doors are open.
1. Check the validity of the customer's complaint by using the system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical faults.

3. If an obvious cause for the problem you have identified or the customer has described is found, correct the problem (if possible) before proceeding further.
4. If the problem is not visually obvious, check the symptom and contact WDS to diagnose the system.
