1. Check the validity of the customer's complaint.

2. Check visually for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

3. If an obvious cause for a reported or received complaint is found, correct that cause (if possible) before moving on to the next step.

4. If the cause is not visually obvious, check the malfunction symptom and refer to the Malfunction Symptom Table.

• Proceed to PINPOINT TEST C

•Icing on heated outside mirror is not removed

•Rear window heating switch.

•PERFORM a rear window defogger switch component check. REFER to the Wiring Diagrams.

•Relay.

•Electrical circuit(s)

•Heated mirror element(s).

• Proceed to PINPOINT TEST D
