Programming the remote control transmitter (Focus 1)

            0

NOTE: A maximum of four remote transmitters can be programmed for a vehicle. All remote transmitters must be programmed at the same time.

NOTE: Before entering the remote transmitter programming mode, ensure the vehicle battery is fully charged and the anti-theft alarm system (if equipped) is not armed or triggered.

1. Close all doors to eliminate the possibility of conflicting sound signals during the programming process.

2. Turn the ignition from position I to position II four times within six seconds.

3. Turn the ignition to position 0.

4. A sound signal and the LED indicator light indicate that access to the memory mode is open and it is possible to program remote transmitters.

5. Within 10 seconds of the previous step, press and hold any button on the programmable remote transmitter until you hear a beep and the LED flashes. This indicates that the new transmitter code has been successfully accepted.

6. After each successful programming of the remote transmitter, it will automatically enter another 10-second memory mode, up to four times maximum.

7. To program additional remote transmitters, repeat step 5.

8. The system exits the learning mode if the ignition is turned to position III, no new remote transmitter is programmed within 10 seconds, or four remote transmitters are already programmed.

9.
NOTE: Incorrect programming procedure will not affect the codes stored in memory.

After successful programming, only commands from newly programmed remote transmitters will be accepted.

10. Test all programmed remote transmitters by activating and deactivating the remote locking and unlocking functions.
