Luggage compartment liftgate latch (Focus 1)

Removal

All cars

1. Remove the rear tailgate trim panel.



2. Disconnect and unplug the tailgate latch connector.



"Universal"

3. Release the tailgate latch cable from the clips.



4. Disconnect the tailgate latch cable from the tailgate lock.



All cars



5. Remove the latch.



3-, 4- and 5-door version

6. If a new tailgate latch is installed, refer to the Tailgate Lock Cylinder - 3-Door/4-Door/5-Door section in this section for more information.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order
