Lubrication under pressure is provided by a gear oil pump, driven by the camshaft via an angular gear transmission. The lubrication system has a replaceable filter and an oil cooler.

Oil filter
Disposable, replaceable filter.
Make and type: Motorcraft EFL 164 or Purftux LS 127.
Replacement frequency: every 7500 km or once every six months.
Oil pressure sensor
Located in the oil filter holder.
Control lamp ignition pressure: 0.08–0.10 MPa.
Motor oil
Quantity: 5.6 dm³ (of which 0.6 dm³ is the oil filter).
Type: all-season oil in accordance with API SE/CD or ССМС PD1, SAE 15W 40 or 20W 50.
Replacement frequency: every 7500 km or once every six months.
Cooling system
The closed cooling circuit with antifreeze liquid circulating under pressure contains a radiator, expansion tank and coolant pump.
Air is removed from the system automatically after the engine is started.
Radiator
The radiator is made of light alloy with a cross-flow and has tanks made of artificial material.
Type: Motorcraft.
Expansion tank cap
Type: Motorcraft.
Overpressure valve opening pressure: 85–110 kPa.
Coolant pump
The centrifugal coolant pump, located on the front wall of the cylinder block, is driven by a V-belt.
The coolant pump cannot be repaired and must be replaced if it malfunctions.
Rotor diameter: 60 mm.
V-belt
V-belt for pump drive.
Brand and type: Kleber Venuflex XSR 13x1150.
Tension: deflection - 13 mm under 30 N pressure in the middle of the distance between the generator and coolant pump pulleys.
Thermostat
The wax thermostat is located in the same housing as the coolant pump.
Brand: Calorstat.
Opening temperature: 72°C.
Full opening temperature: 81°C.
Minimum valve stroke: 7.5 mm.
Fan
The fan is driven by a V-belt via an electromagnetic clutch, which is activated by a thermal switch located in the radiator.
Number of blades: 8.
Outer diameter of blades: 360 mm.
Thermal fan clutch switch
Located in the right radiator tank.
Temperature:
- inclusions: 82°C;
- switch-off: 68°C.
Coolant
Quantity: 9.5 dm³.
Type: special antifreeze liquid Ford SQM97B9103A.
Service interval: check the level every 7500 km (does not require periodic replacement of the coolant).
