Draining the cooling system (Sierra)

1. Unscrew the filler cap of the expansion tank.

2. Set the interior heating system temperature control lever to maximum temperature.



3. Unscrew the coolant drain plug on the radiator (indicated by the arrow).



4. Unscrew the coolant drain plug on the right side at the rear of the engine cylinder block (indicated by the arrow).

5. Place appropriate containers under these plugs and wait until the coolant drains.
