Non-turbocharged engines - Fuel tank mounted in the center of the vehicle, high-pressure fuel pump of the distributor type, direct injection. Some engines are equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation system.
Turbocharged engines - Fuel tank mounted in the center of the vehicle, high-pressure fuel pump of the distributor type, direct injection. Lucas EPIC engine management system on later engines, EGR system on all engines
The firing order of the cylinders is 1-2-4-3 (cylinder N1 from the drive belt side)
