Withdrawal



Important: disconnect the ground wire (-) battery.

Attention: This erases the contents of electronic storage devices such as. such as an engine trouble code memory or a radio memory. Therefore, before disconnecting the battery, be sure to read the instructions in chapter "Removing and installing the battery".


Remove the lower engine cover see p. 10.

Unscrew the main current wire from the starter (red).



Disconnect the control wire from the traction relay -B-.

Unscrew the 3 bolts -A- for the starter and remove the starter towards the bottom.



Some diesel engines are equipped with an oversized starter. In this case, it is necessary to dismantle the rear cover of the oil pan (6 clips) and the left engine support -arrows- A - the cable tie. Before releasing the left engine mount, it must be hung out (prevent falling down) with the help of a hoist.


Installation



Attach the starter from below and tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 35 Nm.

Diesel engine: if it has been dismantled. attach and screw the engine mount. Disconnect the tal.

Attach the wire at the traction relay and screw the main current wire.

Diesel engine: Attach and clip the rear engine compartment soundproofing.

Lower the car.

Connect ground wire to battery (-).

If available, set the clock and enter the anti-theft code for the radio.

Install the lower engine cover.
