Starter (1.4L/1.6L/1.8L diesel) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Section 303-12 for additional information.

3. Remove the starter bolts.



4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

5. Disconnect the starter electrical connector.



6. Remove the starter.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
