Starter (1.6L Duratec) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Section 414-01 for additional information.

2. Disconnect the coolant hose support bracket.

• Loosen the coolant hose support bracket mounting nut.

3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

4. Remove the engine protection.



5. Disconnect the starter electrical connections.



6. Remove the starter.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
