Starter (1.6L Duratec)

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the battery ground wire. Refer to Section 414-01 for more information.

2. Disconnect the coolant hose support bracket.

• Loosen the coolant hose support bracket nut.

3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for more information.

4. Remove the motor protection.



5. Disconnect starter electrical connections.



6. Remove the starter.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
