Entering the radio code

            0

Applies only to standard radio with coding.

Anti-theft radio coding prevents unauthorized operation of the device when the power supply circuit is interrupted. Opening of the power supply circuit occurs, for example, when the battery is disconnected, when the radio is removed, or when the fuse of the power supply circuit blows.

Before disconnecting the battery or before removing the radio, make sure you have the radio code at your disposal. If the code is not known, the radio can only be reconnected by a specialist workshop of the radio manufacturer.

The individual code number can be found in the radio owner's manual. This code must not be kept in the vehicle.

Removing the electronic lock

Connect the power supply, turn on the radio. A message appears on the radio display "CODE----" or "COdE".

Using the buttons 1-4 on the radio panel, enter the secret code number. To enter the first digit of the code, button 1 must be pressed and released until then. until the correct digit appears on the display at the position of the first stroke. Button 2 must be pressed and released until the correct number also appears on the display in the position of the second stroke. The remaining digits of the secret code are entered in a similar way.

When the correct code number can be read on the display instead of strokes, the code entry must be confirmed by pressing the fifth button on the radio panel. After that, the radio is ready to go.

Attention: If an incorrect code number is entered by mistake, the entire entry process can be repeated twice. If an incorrect code number is entered again, the radio is blocked for approx. 30 minutes and cannot be connected The message appears on the display "WAIT 30M" and the time until the next opportunity to enter the code is displayed. After 30 minutes - the radio must be switched on - the electronic locking of the radio can be released again. This cycle is repeated for all other attempts. After the 10th attempt to enter an incorrect code number, the display shows the message "LOCK 10" or "LOCKED 10", and the radio is blocked! It is no longer possible to connect the radio by entering a code, and the radio must be sent to the factory to be unlocked.

Note: in addition to the radio theft protection code for FORD models "5000", "6000" And "7000" can also remember the state registration number or the chassis number of the car. Once entered, this code is remembered forever and is not erased, even if the battery is disconnected or if the original number has been changed for some reason.
