The factory-installed radio is equipped with a mount with guides that allow for quick installation and removal. First of all, this can only be done immediately with the help of a special tool "A", which is included with the purchase of the radio or which can be purchased in a specialized store.

Removal
Turn off the ignition.
With the ignition off, disconnect the battery ground (-) cable.
Caution: When the battery is disconnected, the contents of the radio memory and electronic memory devices are erased. The radio is equipped with anti-theft encryption as standard. This prevents unauthorized use of the device when the power supply circuit is interrupted. The power supply circuit is interrupted, for example, when the battery is disconnected, when the radio is removed, or when the power supply circuit fuse blows.
Before disconnecting the battery or before removing the radio, make sure you have the radio code. If the code is not known, the radio can only be reconnected by a specialized workshop of the radio manufacturer.
The individual code number is provided in the radio's operating manual. This code should not be stored in the vehicle.

Insert both pullers into the holes on the left and right of the front panel as shown in the picture. (The picture shows a radio not for a FORD SCORPIO vehicle).
Remove the radio evenly, slightly pressing the pullers outward "1" from the center of the radio, and pulling the radio out of the instrument panel in the direction of the arrows "2".

Disconnect the multi-pin plug connectors and the radio antenna connector "arrow left".
Caution: Pull only by the plug, not by the wires.

If you need to install a new radio, you should press the plastic holder off the old radio and install it on the new radio.
Installation

Remove the pullers from the removed radio. To do this, use a small screwdriver to press the retaining clips inward.
Connect the multi-pin plug connectors and the antenna connector to the back of the radio.

Place the plastic holder "4" on the rail "3" and press the radio into the dashboard recess until it is secured with the retaining springs.
Connect the ground (-) cable to the battery.
Turn on the radio and enter the anti-theft code.
Set the clock.
