Caution: Disconnecting the battery will erase the contents of the electronic memories, such as engine trouble codes or radio codes. Before switching off, also read the instructions in chapter "Removing and installing the battery".

Vehicles up to 8/94: remove the light switch rotary knob.

Cars since 9/94

Use a small screwdriver to press down on the lock and remove the rotary button of the switch.

Remove the headlight beam throw switch button.

Using a screwdriver, pry off the switch cover from the outside, place a pad under the screwdriver. Take out the cover.

If necessary, replace the incandescent lamp. The fog light warning lamp is located in the switch axis and can be removed directly. To replace the three illumination lamps for the symbols on the trim, turn to the left and remove the lamp socket. Remove the incandescent pump from the cartridge and replace it with a new one.

All cars

Press together both retaining tabs -arrows- of the light switch and remove the switch.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the switch.
