Switches for heated rear and windshield, rear fog lights, fog lights



Withdrawal



Disconnect ground wire (-) battery.

Caution: Disconnecting the battery will erase the contents of the electronic memories, such as engine trouble codes or radio codes. Before switching off, also read the instructions in chapter "Removing and installing the battery".


Vehicles up to 1/92 and from 9/94



Attention: cars from 9/94: the removal of the fog light switches is described in the previous chapter.


Remove the protective shield of the instrument panel assembly. see chapter "Removing and installing the instrument panel assembly".



Pry off the switch with a thin screwdriver.

Cars from 2/92 to 8/94





Insert a narrow screwdriver between the switch and the instrument panel. To avoid scratching the panel, place a rag or paper pad under the screwdriver.


Alternately placing a screwdriver from above and below, carefully wring out the switch. Attach the screwdriver not with the entire plane, otherwise the switch cover is pressed.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the switch.

Installation



Connect the multi-pin plug connector of the switch.

Press the switch and the hole to the locked position.

Vehicles up to 1/92: Install protective shield for instrument panel assembly, see chapter "Removing and installing the instrument panel assembly".

Connect ground wire to battery (-).

If available, set the clock and enter the anti-theft code for the radio.

Switches for power windows, power steel roof panel, power rear seatbacks, heated front seats



Withdrawal





Insert a narrow screwdriver between the switch and the instrument panel and press the switch. To avoid scratching the panel, place a rag or paper pad under the screwdriver.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the switch.

Installation



Connect the multi-pin plug connector of the switch.

Press the switch against the hole to the locked position.
