Removal
Remove the center air duct.
Disconnect the control cables from the heater. The right cable controls the temperature adjustment, and the left cable controls the air distribution flap (see Fig. 3.45).
Unscrew the 2 screws securing the heater decorative panel to the instrument panel. Remove the heater panel and disconnect the electrical connectors. Then remove the heater control panel completely (see Fig. 3.46, 3.47).
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Heater drive
Removal
Remove the heater control unit. Bend back the 4 tabs securing the cover with a screwdriver and remove the cover from the heater control housing (see Fig. 3.48).
Cut the cable drive mounting brackets. Release the cables from the guides and remove them from the control unit. New cable drive mounting brackets must be used during installation.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
