Parking brake control lever (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Release the parking brake.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

3. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.

4. Disconnect the plug connector.



5. Loosen the parking brake cable adjusting nut.

• 1.Remove the clamp.
• 2. Loosen the adjusting nut.

6. Remove the parking brake lever.

Installation

NOTE: After installation, adjust the parking brake. For more information, refer to the Adjusting the Parking Brake Cable chapter in this section.

When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
