Water pump for HCS and Endura-E engines

Withdrawal

Remove the negative terminal from the battery.

Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts and remove the auxiliary drive belt (see fig. 3.28) Unscrew the bolts and remove the pulley from the water pump.



Loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from the water pump. Unscrew the bolts and remove the water pump (see fig. 3.29).

Installation

Clean the remains of the gasket mating surfaces of the water pump and engine.

The water pump is of a non-separable type, therefore, if there is any defect, the pump must be replaced.

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. A new gasket must be used when installing the pump. Pour coolant into the cooling system.
