Removal
Remove the negative terminal from the battery.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Remove the toothed belt and tensioner. Disconnect the lower radiator tank hose from the pump. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the water pump (see Fig. 3.32).
Installation
Clean the mating surfaces of the pump and motor.
Install a new gasket on the motor and pump and tighten the pump mounting bolts.
Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Install the toothed belt and tensioner. In this case, it is necessary to use a new tensioner spring and spring mounting pin.
