Removal and installation the center console (Scorpio I, after 1/92) (Scorpio 2)

Removal

Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

Caution: When the battery is disconnected, the contents of electronic memory devices, such as engine fault codes or radio codes, are erased. Before disconnecting, also read the instructions in the chapter "Removal and installation the battery".

Carefully lift the mode selection lever cover with a screwdriver (Figure A).

Unscrew the two screws securing the "arrow" (Figure B) on the lever panel. Raise the lever panel slightly and disconnect the multi-contact plug connector of the switch located underneath. Remove the lever panel.



Unscrew the 9 screws securing the arrow and remove the center console.

Installation

Place the center console in the installation position and tighten the 9 mounting screws.



Place the mode selection lever panel, connect the multi-pin plug connector of the switch and tighten the two mounting screws.

Attach and secure the mode selection lever cover.

Connect the battery ground (-) cable.

If available, set the clock and enter the radio theft protection code.
