The automatic mechanism lock may become blocked on the toothed sector of the clutch pedal, especially if there is significant wear. In this case, there will be no free play of the cable, which will lead to clutch slippage and significantly accelerate the wear of the linings. To check the mechanism, it is necessary to open the hood and sharply pull the cable sheath out of the partition, which will lead to tension of the cable and rotation of the toothed segment. During normal operation of the mechanism, clicks are heard from the latch moving along the toothed segment, and when the cable sheath is released, the mechanism takes its original position. If the latch is jammed, it is impossible to pull the cable sheath out of the partition.

If the clutch cable is jammed, it is difficult to remove it.

The first option for removing the cable is to apply force to the release lever to disconnect the cable.

The second is to cut the cable, but it is important to remember that the release lever will immediately return back.

Pulling the cable out of the front bulkhead sometimes clears the jam, but in this case it is advisable to replace the mechanism with a new one.
