Clutch pedal play is checked by the clutch pedal stroke. Before checking, lay the clutch cable by pressing and releasing the pedal several times (at least ten times if new clutch parts or cable have been installed).
Measure the distance from the third groove on the rubber of the clutch pedal to the pedal of the car, then press the pedal to the stop and measure again. Subtract the second measurement from the first and you will get the clutch pedal stroke. If the measured stroke differs from the required one, adjust the clutch as follows.
To increase the clutch pedal stroke, turn the adjusting bolt located at the top of the clutch pedal clockwise, to decrease the stroke, turn the adjuster counterclockwise.
