Warning: The air conditioning system is under high pressure.
Checks and maintenance should be performed regularly to ensure that the air conditioner continues to operate at peak efficiency:
- a) The auxiliary drive belt must be in good condition and properly tensioned.
- b) Check the system hoses.
- c) Inspect the condenser plates for contamination by leaves, insects and other dirt. Use compressed air to clean the condenser.
- d) Check that the drain pipe on the front of the evaporator is clean. It is necessary to operate the system for approximately 30 minutes at least once a month, especially in winter.
Due to the complexity of the air conditioning system and the special equipment required to service the system at a service station.
The most common cause of poor cooling is low fluid level in the system.
