Checking the engine oil level (Scorpio 1)

Oil level gauge

The engine must be warmed up to normal operating temperature.

1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.

2. Check the oil level 3 minutes after turning off the engine. To do this, remove the oil level gauge, wipe it dry, insert it back into place until it stops, remove it again and use the oil trace on the oil level gauge to determine the amount of oil in the engine.

3. Add oil only when the oil level drops to the "MIN" mark.
