When the booster fails, the force on the brake pedal increases significantly, which negatively affects the control of the car.

To check the operation of the booster with the engine off, press the brake pedal several times. Keep the brake pedal pressed and start the engine. If the booster is working properly, the pedal moves forward.

Apart from replacing the safety seal and one-way valve, other repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel using special equipment. Remove the brake booster only after removing the brake master cylinder, which is done by unscrewing the four nuts and disconnecting the brake booster pushrod from the brake pedal.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm. Be sure to bleed the brake system after assembly, as it has been depressurized.
