Removing and installing the adjusting electric motor (Mondeo 2)

If the adjustment motor has been replaced, adjust the cable connections as well. It is further assumed that only the electric motor is removed and installed, and the cables are connected in the same way as they were installed previously. Check the adjustment results at a service station. Remove the adjustment motor as follows:

- disconnect the battery;

- disconnect the battery;

- disconnect the multi-pin plug connector (Fig. 280);

- remove the engine cover;

- remove the cable drive between the engine and the throttle drive shaft from the upper belt pulley, while rotating the pulley to loosen the cable;

- release the cable from the engine housing by pushing the clamp and cable upwards;

- remove the cable between the accelerator pedal and the engine from the rear belt pulley, while also rotating the pulley to loosen the cable tension and then remove the cable from the mount in the engine housing from above;

- unscrew the two bolts and lift the electric motor out of the car.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
