ABS sensor replacement (rear wheels)

There are differences in the order of removal depending on the installed brakes (disk and drum). Removing the sensor in the presence of a disc brake mechanism is carried out similarly to removing the front wheel sensor (see above). Scope of work to remove the sensor (sensor) in the drum brake mechanisms of the rear wheels, it is somewhat larger, since it includes operations for removing the rear seat cushion.

Replace the sensor as follows:

- disconnect the storage battery;

- Raise the rear of the car on supports and remove the wheel;

- Remove the rear seat cushions;

- Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the sensor under the seat cushion;

- unscrew the bolt from the inside of the brake support plate and remove the sensor from the hole (pic. 275);

- release the wire from the mount.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Before installation, check the sensor bore for damage, corrosion, or jagged edges. Install the wheel and check the gear wheel for damage.
