- Loosen the wheel nuts, apply the parking brake, place the rear of the car on supports and remove the wheels;
- disconnect the plug connector of the rear brake pad wear indicator (if any) after loosening the clamp;

- remove spring clamp 1 (Fig. 263) and then safety pin 2, release the brake caliper from above;
- install a clamp on the brake hose to prevent brake fluid leakage and disconnect the hose;

- pull the caliper down in the direction of the arrow shown in Fig. 264 and remove the now accessible brake pads.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- make sure that the brake pads are installed in the correct position, there should be no grease or oil on the surfaces of the pads and brake discs;
- remove the brake pads from the packaging and install both pads into the caliper support;
- lift the caliper up and secure it again with the safety pin and clamp;
- perform the remaining installation operations in reverse order;
- check the brake fluid level in the reservoir;
- Press the brake pedal several times to allow the brake pads to rub against the brake disc.
