Replacing the ABS sensor (front wheels) (Mondeo 2)

The ABS sensors on the front wheels are located on the steering knuckle. Replace the sensors as follows:

- jack up the front of the car to gain access to individual parts, remove the front wheel;

- unscrew the sensor mounting bolts on the steering knuckle, carefully remove it from the steering knuckle at the mounting location shown in Fig. 274;

- through the free hole, release the sensor cable mount and disconnect the plug connector;

- check if the sensor mounting hole and the sensor itself are dirty.

Install in the reverse order of removal. After assembly, check the functionality of the ABS.
