USEFUL TIP: Brake fluid is very hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air, which, in addition to causing corrosion of brake system parts, lowers the boiling point of the fluid itself, which can lead to brake failure with frequent, intensive braking. Therefore, we recommend replacing the brake fluid at least once every two years.
Check the tightness by external inspection:
- from above, from under the hood;
– from underneath the vehicle (on a lift or in an inspection pit);
- from the sides of the car with the wheels removed.
HELPFUL TIP: When inspecting the hydraulic system's pressurized portion, have an assistant press the brake pedal four or five times (to pressurize the hydraulic system) and hold it there until you have inspected the hydraulic system.
TIP: Inspecting a hydraulic system without pressure is acceptable but less effective.
NOTE: If you find any leaks in the connections, tighten the clamps, plugs, and nuts.
NOTE: Replace hoses and pipes with mechanical damage.
NOTE: If the slave cylinders are leaking, repair or replace them.

1. Inspect the master cylinder reservoir…

2. …and connections of pipelines and pressure regulators to the main brake cylinder.

3. Check for fluid leaks from the brake pipe connections to the front brake hoses.
4. Carefully inspect the brake hoses. The hoses should not have any cracks, tears or abrasions. Press the brake pedal all the way down: if there are any bulges on the hose, the threads of the hose braiding have broken and it must be replaced.

5. Inspect the hose connections to the working cylinders, remove the protective cap and check the front wheel brake bleed valves for leaks.
6. Check the connection of the brake pipes with the rear brake hoses and with the couplings.

7. Inspect the connection of the brake pipes to the rear wheel working cylinders and the air release valves.

8. Check the fastening of the pipes in the holders on the bottom of the body. Replace damaged holders, as their weakening or breakage leads to vibration and, as a result, to breakage of the pipes.
