The front door window lifters are equipped with an electric drive. This subsection describes only the removal and installation of the electric window lifter itself. The removal and installation of the electric window lifter control unit and the gear motor are described in Section 10 "Electrical equipment" (see "Replacing the electric window lifter and electric mirror drive control unit"; "Replacing the front door electric window motor reducer").

You will need: a 10 mm wrench and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Remove the front door trim (see "Removing and installing the front door trim").

2. Remove the front door glass (see "Replacing the front door glass").

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the glass from the door; it is enough to disconnect it from the window lifter and fix it in the extreme upper position, for example, using a screwdriver, pieces of PVC pipe of a suitable diameter, or masking tape.
