Replacing the power window of the front door

The power windows in the front doors are electrically operated. This subsection describes only the removal and installation of the power window directly. The process of removing and installing the power window gearmotor is described in Sec. 10 "Electrical equipment" (see Replacing motors for electric window lifters).

You will need a TORX T25 key.

1. Remove the front door upholstery (see Removing and installing front door trim).

2. Remove the front door glass (see Front Door Glass Replacement).

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the glass from the door, it is enough to disconnect it from the power window and fix it in the highest position, for example, using a screwdriver, pieces of PVC pipe of a suitable diameter or masking tape.

3. Pressing the latch..



4.... disconnect the wiring harness connector from the power window motor.




5. Turn out the screw of fastening of a motoreducer.



6. Turn out the top screw of fastening of a back directing of a slider of a window lifter.



7. Turn out other three screws of fastening of directing sliders.



8. Remove the power window through the service hole in the door panel.



9. Install the front door power window in the reverse order of removal.
